Raksha Bandhan is also formerly known as rakhi… it is the festival of threads. It is celebrated in the North and West part of the world. It is related with Hinduism ceremony.It is the festival of special Hindu religion celebrated in India and Nepal… it is the symbol of love between siblings.It is celebrated every year of Purnima according to Hindu calendar in the month of shraavan which generally falls in august .
PERFORMING RAKHI RITUALS
On the day of Raksha Bandhan brothers and sisters wear new clothes, & observes the presence of parents, elders, grandfather & grandmother..On this day girls tie rakhi around on their brother’s wrist ,and perform aarti of their brothers with a diya or glowing with lighting , and applied a “ TILAK “ on their forehead and a portion of sweet dish / dry fruits to the brothers. Now brothers give a promise to their sisters to take care or ( protect ) them from evils and give them presents too.
OFFERING TO A GIFT FROM BROTHERS TO SISTERS
Brothers give a pleasant gift to their sisters. Anything like it can be an online or offline shopping product , it can be money for gifts , chocolate , and etc.Girls and ladies are eagerly awaited for the month or the festival of rakhi , on the other day of rakhi there is a day which is known as Bhai Dooj. On this day many sweets and dishes are made at home.All of them are very happy.
RUSH OF MARKETS
The market is decorated with the different types of threads and rakhi’s . And approximately one month ago the market was decorated with colorful rakhi with precious stones which attracts a lot to a human.The relationship between a sibling is a bond of love and this festival symbolizes the eternal love of brother and sister beyond any kind of relationship. It is a more far and connected term between two different religions.
THE ORIGIN MEANS OF RAKSHA BANDHAN
There is a mythology according to Mahabharat , LORD KRISHNA protect DRAUPADI formally known as panchaali who is the wife of pandavas protect herself reputation in front of thousands of people in a sabha of duryodhan, she ties a rakhi to LORD KRISHNA , when Kunti ties rakhi to his grandson Abhimanyu before the epic war..And there is a saying too that rani karmavati has sent a rakhi to the empire of Mughal samrajya’s humayun to protect them from the war , Humayun accepted the wish of her sister… he sent a lot’s of Collins in her empire….
Therefore we celebrate raksha bandhan every year..
