World Hindi day is celebrated every year on January 10, for promoting Hindi in the world . it’s an objective to create awareness and introduce Hindi as an international language all over the world.
Hindi is the mother language of India. Migrant people celebrate this day in India’s embassy especially on this day. Hindi lectures were organized in different subjects on various occasions and in a general way.
The word “Hindi” is believed to origin with the form of the original word “sindhu”. There was a river called sindh,and the area around it is called sindhu. This word Sindhu became Hindu when Iranian’s came in India. Later it became Hindi. It is believed that Hindi is derived from Sanskrit and written in the Devanagari script.
For promoting Hindi as an international language in the world, the first world conference meeting was held on January 10,1975 in Nagpur. In which 30 countries and 122 representatives including India were involved. That is why we are celebrating world Hindi day every year. According to a fact, Hindi is a common language spoken by millions of people and so many of them are well known from this language.
Apart from India,Nepal,Pakistan,Bangladesh,Singapore,Fiji, South Africa,Malaysia,Sri Lanka,Bhutan,Indonesia,Jarman,Britten,new Zealand, Myanmar,Maldiv, Mauritius,Thailand,china etc. are popular countries whereas Hindi language has spoken and understood. The official Hindi language has become the worldwide spoken language or international language.
Hindi language is studied in nearly 200 universities or schools all over the world as compulsory subjects.As we know that the trend of Hindi is spreading in the whole world speedy, so Hindi words are also involved in the famous English oxford dictionary as bada din (big day), acha (good), Surya Namaskar, bachha (child) etc. in 2017. It represents the importance and acceptance of Hindi.
The people who are living in Fiji country situated in the near pacific ocean, for them Hindi is the most popular language spoken by them and they are giving more importance to Hindi like an Indian.
These people are also called as fijitition and Fiji Indian. Hindi language is mother language of India announced by the constitution assembly on 14 September 1949 as official language.
India’s former prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh announced on 10 January,2006 as world Hindi day. Since then it is celebrated every year as world Hindi day. Embassy of India organized a special programme on this day for devoting the ideal view on the topic of Hindi divas.
Every year a part of world Hindi day, 14 September is also celebrated as Hindi divas. On that day the constitution assembly declared Hindi as the official language. Hence, we celebrate twins in a year first on January 10 as world Hindi day and secondly on September 14, for promoting Hindi all over the world.
Hindi is one of the most widely spoken five languages worldwide.After the independence , businessman Rajendra Sinha tried great effort to bring Hindi as a national language, with writers like kaka kalekar,maithilisharan gupta,hazari prasad dwivedi, Mahadevi Verma, Seth Govind Das etc.
Due to increasing the form of other languages like English, french, dutch, Italian, arabi, and the local language of the area or the country, Hindi trends have reduced. So it is a day to recognise this day for the embassy of India for pride of our nation. To celebrate this day there are many ways .
On this day students in school have prepared a lecture on hindi. All the staff and people are used to speaking Hindi for giving pride and respect to the hindi as an international language.
To increase the trend of Hindi ,it is declared to be an international day of world Hindi day. With reading or understanding the language of Hindi is our moral duty, so we all have to accept the trend, through Hindi ,India can be threaded in a single thread. A country that doesn’t have pride of it’s language and literature cannot be advanced. Hindi is the soul of Indian culture. So we should give respect to our nation’s language.
Hindi is the simplest source to show our nation’s expression. Schools have organized a function for Hindi divas with Hindi poetry and drama. There has been a competition for the best performer and awarded with the prize to the best. All though, who have done their best performance in the whole year and give them best work with hindi will be awarded with a group of numbers or best Hindi performer of the year.
In India, there are people who do not know the form of hindi language and tradition. They are entitled to use the use of international language in their routine schedule and mostly english language has stolen or replaced the trend of hindi. People are often feel ashamed for speaking hindi, generally now a days , the one who speak hindi is formerly known as stupid or uneducated person while speaking english has trend in society. People who spoke english is recognized as well educated or literate one.
So hence, we can say that this world hindi day is a day for spreading the awareness of hindi language in local people or embassy of Indian and foreigners to awake the national language of hindi because a nation is dumb without its national language. It is our responsibility and moral duty to promote and develop our official language to become an international language. Use of hindi in national practice is necessary for the progress of the country.
As far as the term hindi, we can define the pride of our nation. Hindi language is the pride of each indian. It cannot be defined in words what is the value of hindi, but many of them are using english or other language as much as they can in their profession or personal life. Through this only hindi language has been affected with this . so we all have to consume our nation’s mother language with the trend of reducing. So keep remembering the trend of hindi and use it to our daily schedule. Do not forget our national language or feel ashamed to speak this.
